Keep Track Of Your Engine With An Anderson Ford Motorsport’s FlashACQ Data Logger For The PMS Engine Management.

In the modern world of EFI, our engines are controlled by a computer system that relies on input from several sensors. The ECU (electronic control unit) constantly evaluates these sensors to provide proper ignition timing and fueling to the engine. These sensors include the TPS (throttle position sensor), IAT (inlet air temperature), O2 for reading oxygen content in the exhaust, CAT (coolant temperature sensor), and a bevy of others, all for the purpose of keeping the engine running within its programmed parameters. With OBDII and today’s available electronic tuners/monitors, virtually anyone can scan the parameters of the engine, even in real time.

2000 Ford Mustang GT Kooks Headers And X-Crossover

The past few issues we have been following a supercharged 2000 Mustang GT as it received a new set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Street/Strip 4.6L cylinder heads, the latest Anderson Ford Motorsport (AFM) F82 camshafts, and a larger ProCharger D1SC centrifugal blower. The ‘00 GT is fairly basic with a built short-block (cast crank, forged rods and pistons) and the aforementioned induction components. The heads were worth 34 rwhp over CNC-ported OEM heads, and we finished at 571 rwhp.inline_mediumwraptextrightWe’re back for more. This month we swapped in a set of Kooks long-tubes and a 3-inch X-crossover in search of more power. We gained 30 rwhp and 11 rwtq.27201736/tech/mmfp_1001_2000_ford_mustang_gt_kooks_headers_and_x_crossovermmfp_1001_02_o+2000_ford_mustang_gt+mustang_in_air.jpgTrue

Add Power To Your Engine With An Anderson Ford Motorsport EFI Hurricane Intake

Tech | Intake Upgrades
The Ford performance experts at Anderson Ford Motorsport have introduced a new EFI intake manifold for short deck small-block Ford engines based on the Professional Products Hurricane, and it’s called the Anderson/EFI Hurricane. Anderson Ford-Mercury is one of the oldest Ford Dealerships in the United States and its Anderson Ford Motorsport (AFM) division specializes in the creation of performance products for fuel-injected Ford vehicles. They have a reputation for solid engineering designs which are evaluated by rigorous testing on both the Super Flow SF1200 flow bench and on the in-house DynoJet chassis dynamometer. The new EFI Hurricane intake manifold is intended for use with aftermarket cylinder heads as part of a serious performance package and is capable of supporting up to 7,500 rpm.
