67 Mustang Body Shell Announced All-New 1967 Mustang Convertible Body Joins Growing Stable of Classic Ford-Licensed Restoration Parts On the heels of the ‘65 convertible body launched at SEMA in November, the ‘67 Mustang body is now licensed by Ford as well. Twin Cities Ford Plant Closing Today Twin Cities Plant Closing: Ranger Production Ends Today The end of a chapter in Ford Motor Company history is written today as the doors close on the Twin Cities (Minnesota) Assembly Plant. Check out today’s blog for more info. While the big news that everyone is reporting today is the demise of the US built Ford Ranger compact pickup truck (it will still be built and sold outside of the US in a new configuration), the bigger news for Modified Mustangs & Fords readers is the closing of the Ranger plant itself

Ford Racing to Offer 2.0L I4 Crate Engine Ford Racing Reveals Concept Behind a New Line of 2.0L Crate Engines for 2012 While a four-cylinder crate engine might not sound all that powerful for your classic Mustang, what today’s news really tells us is that Ford Racing is soon going to offer the EcoBoost turbocharged I4 as well, and that’s something we’d love to see in a classic Mustang (can you say Mustang SVO?). We feel the V-6 EcoBoost can’t be far behind either from the guys at FRPP. Part of the expanded crate engine lineup that Ford Racing Performance Parts has announced for 2012 includes a naturally aspirated, 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder “Crate Engine Concept.” This engine is the precursor for a range of production-based I-4 offerings
